May 24, Departing on the Norwegian Dawn

We took an Uber to get on the Norwegian Dawn cruise ship. It was a quick smooth check in and we ate lunch while we waited for the rooms to be ready. We unpacked with the “thrill” of only a few dirty clothes due to the washing machine in the last place. The little things make us so happy. Haha. We sailed off a little after 4 with a party by the pool. Great music but of course then we had to go get our suits on to enjoy the pool and hot tub. It was fun swimming with the band still playing and singing.

Then dinner in the dinning room and the opening show in the theatre. Enough fun for the day so off to bed.

The next morning we were up a bit early to eat breakfast at the Buffet and then deciding what to take for our first excursion, 3 hours at a very nice beach. I thought it included a drive through the highlights of the town but really it was Palma Views, looking out the window as we drove several miles outside of town to a beach community. Many many condo, hotels etc overlooking the beach and near the beach. Of course all the shops and restaurants that go with so many tourists and locals. A very nice area. We passed a massage business so I mentioned it to David as we got off the bus. We went on our phones and found that there were more Than 6 within walking distance and 2 that were open now. I called them and found out the price was reasonable so we walked 1/2 there, each had a great massage and went back in time to take a short swim on that beautiful beach. Of course David had to have a quick ice cream & a small hamburger before catching the bus back. We did see some beautiful scenery and an amazing cathedral but we didn’t get off in town to go see the inside. One can only see so many churches, cathedrals in one trip. Besides I had on a damp suit under my clothes so we went back to go swimming in the pool on the ship.
